India’s second wave of Covid-19 not only crippled and stretched our healthcare resources but also made the masses feel helpless. There was an acute shortage of medical professionals, medicines, medical oxygen, and hospital beds for Covid-19 patients. Currently as the active load of Covid-19 is on the decline, the economy has started to open up, increasing chances of SARS-CoV-2 spread and mutation. According to experts, India is going to witness a third wave of Covid-19 in the coming days. Experts are also of the opinion that the third wave is going to impact children more than adults as children have weaker immunity as compared to adults. With the possibility that the third wave could have far more reaching effects as compared to the second wave, the healthcare sector needs to be prepared for the third wave and take it head on.
